Willingness to play

the time when I burst into tears during my singing lesson

Turns out singing involves emotions. My naive self thought that, since I'm not pursuing singing as a serious skill but more of an exploration field just for myself, it would be more about discovering how to use your body differently. Little did I know you have to access muscle memory to unlock certain sounds you make, that activates actual memory with you even realizing. Obviously. Now that I know about it, it makes sense but it took me as a surprise to when this emotion wave took over me for a second while I was trying to make a certain sound.

It never ceases to amaze me how disconnected we can be from our own bodies and emotions.
